modifying a 300zx and/or 240sx

First, does any of the later 300zx models have flip up lights like the 2nd Gen RX-7 (FC3S)?

If I am going to tune a 300zx for drifting purposes, will this be a nice car to use for drifting?

Is the 300zx a popular car? Do many people own tuned (engine mods, exterior, interior, ect.) 300zx's?

I read on a website that you can easily fit a 250 hp rb33 R33 Skyline into the S13, S14, and 300zx without problems, is this true?

What's the latest model available for 300zx's?

What model of the Silvias are the known 240sx in the US?

Please reply, thankyou

Re: modifying a 300zx and/or 240sx

No flip up lights.....

The Z32 can be used as a drift car... please see POST about drifting a Z. However, they are massively heavy cars and it is not a very common platform. I am working on being one of the few who has a Z and drifts it! Just need a damn MT!

The Z has a cult following and are very popular! However, they tend to be a lil' expensive for the kiddies and maintaining them can prove to be a bitch and very costly... especially the TT models!

Easily fit a 250 hp rb33 R33 Skyline into the S13, S14, and 300zx without problems??? You maen the engine, right? Trying to fit a car within a car would just be silly! Are you talking RB25 or RB26??? There is no such thing as an RB33!!! But, yes... many people have swapped the RB series engines into the Z32. Easily? I dunno about that! You are talking custom-job. However I heard that the RB's bolt onto the VG30 tranny's! Not sure if this is true or not.

Latest model in the US is a '96.... these (TT) have been detuned... less HP. Latest model in JDM land is a '99.

What model of the Silvias are the known 240sx in the US? <~~~~Whatever do you mean???? Ask the 240 forum! But there are only the RPS13, S13, and S14.... no S15's here. I think that is what you wanted....?

Well, there you go....

yeah, in '96 the tt lost about 15 hp. i see more 350z's than i do 300zx's (besides the one i own of course). i don't see many tuned z's, but i have heard that it is expensive to tune.
