2003 Impala LS
I have a 2003 Impala LS and I have been noticing that when my car is idleing it isn't a very smooth idle. I watch the RPM's and the needle doesn't move much at all but I can feel the car vibrate a lot. Is this normal or should I have this looked at? Also, my drivers window is really loud when I roll it down. I have fought and fought with the dealership on this and finally they clame they fixed it and put some new things on the inside but it is doing it again. It is a really loud almost like a knocking sound as it gets almost all of the way down. Can someone please help with my problems? Thanks!

Your idle might be too low.
If you hit the gas, just a very tiny bit, does it clean up? |

No, it doesn't seem to help. I have another question...my "low tire pressure" light came on yesturday while I was driving down the road and when I got home my husband checked my tire pressure and they were all at what they are supposed to be! Does anyone know what else this could mean. I think my car is falling apart!

Question on idleing
I saw this on the post further down but i wanted to make a new thread for my question. When my impala is idleing, it idles rough and sometimes it almost wants to stall out but it doesn't. When I step on the gas it cleans up and run fine. Even when your going down the road it's fine. I was wondering if anyone has an idea to try or a possible part to look at.
thanks, mike |
