removing the door panel...

trying to remove the door panel in my 97 rs. found some screws, but it won't come off. any information on the easiest way to remove the door panel would be appreciated. thanks

yeah.. remove the screws and pull up.. there's a lip just inside of it at the top that more or less holds it in place

you also half to unhook the door lock before you lift it up. all you do is unlock the door (slide the thing to the front) and then use a screw driver to pry off the little plastic part. make sure you dont bend the door rods, cause they are a bitch to fix...

the reason i'm asking about the door panel is b/c i want to pull the speakers out, and at a quick glance, it looked like i needed to take the door panel off. is this necessary, or can i get the speaker out w/out having to take the door panel off?

Get yourself a trim removal tool. They are like 5 bucks and worth their weight in gold when removing door panels. They always have them crappy plastic push in fasteners on them, and the tool pops em right out easily without breaking any.

you don't need the tool but you do have to take off the entire panel to get to the speaker .
