Diesel engines

Does anyone know how hard it would be to convert a 1992 Ranger to Diesel, or what small block Diesel engine would match up to the mounts?

Hi
Where I come from, New Zealand and Australia most small pickups or Ute is as we call them are diesel of Japanese origin. A popular choice for conversions is the 2.8 Nissan RD28 or LD28 diesel. They are a fantastic, lightweight, high performance motor, very easy to convert and easy low maintenance. They are a long life motor and very basic to work on. Hope this may help.
A Mazda diesel may also fit easy.
