what's the value??

does anybody know what the value of an 87' 928 with a $h!t brown as the original paint, v8 turbo, with less than 10,000 miles on it, always winter stored, only summer driver, mint condition inside and out??

just wondering because i'm looking into buying it and i don't want to get ripped off or want to know if i get lucky, thanks for any help.

Re: what's the value??

mmm... '87 with a turbo? Really it must be the only one in the world. Is it an "S" or an S4? Any way it should be an S4 and thats worth anywhere from $7500-10K. May be you should investigate this a little closer

oh it doesn't, i thought so.
i just started getting into the 928 when my buddy showed me pics of his dads car. He said it had a turbo, but i didn't think so.

one more question, whats the horsepower at the wheels if it is the S4?

thanks for any info, latz.

Re: what's the value??

I want to say the HP of the S4 was 270-280. I think there was a euro version that claimed 300 but I'm not sure.

Re: what's the value??

Well I have an 86 1/2 its basically an 87 but without the body upgrade. My car is estimated at about 300HP.As for the price, make sure whoever you buy it from has all the service records. You can find 928's as low as 3,000 bucks but its gonna be junk. For a nice one in very good cond. look to spend around 10 grand.I bought mine for 8500 and the first year spent another 8000 in rims and a new timing belt which is very important that It is changed before you buy one because that cost me another 3,500.Some other small repairs and dont forget the oil change at about 120 bucks a shot. But once you get everything done it should last.My car has 2001 18 inch wheels that have a nice deep dish in the back and is painted the german flag,It goes from yellow to red to black and still turns heads when I pull into Champion Porsche.
Good luck.
