Apexi Dunk Catback

I am looking for an Apexi Dunk series cat-back for my 99 EX Coupe. I have looked all over the place for this exhaust and I can't find it anywhere. All I ever hear is that Apexi discontinued it, and that the Greddy Evo II is kinda the same. Somewhere there has to be a place with a few of these exhausts sitting around. I am even willing to go with the universal version, I'll just use custom piping from the cat. I have a universal on there now, but it's been on there for a while, and it's starting to wear down. I am tired of everyone around here with there N-1 style exhausts that all sound the same. The only difference is who's exhaust is louder. If anyone can help my or has any info, I would appreciate it.

It was discontinued ~2 years ago. Finding one is slim to none, except for maybe Ebay.

Re: Apexi Dunk Catback

Ebay only has them for the DX Coupe. Worse comes to worse I will buy the one for the DX and than cut the piping and have it done custom at a muffler shop. I dropped my universal at the muffler shop yesterday to have the piping fixed and I am picking it up again, so at least I have something for now.

Re: Apexi Dunk Catback

I'll have to post the pic of the universal I have on my Civic now. It just looks sweet. I love the way it sounds. And like they say, we all want what we can't have, and since they say it's discontinued, I want it even more. That way I know I have something not many others have, ya know.

Isn't the Dunk similar to the WS? I think the WS is what replaced the Dunk. Something better designed.

I'd almost just say get a DX one, and then cut the pipe. That way you'll at least have some extra piping to play around with if you ever need it.

And yes, it's possible to find a company with one still laying around, but usually shops will clearance out stuff like that, so the chance of it are VERY slim if any.

Re: Apexi Dunk Catback

I think the Dunk is more similar to the N1 exhaust. It used a cansiter muffler instead of an oval one if I remember right.

Yes it did. The difference between this and the N1 is this routes over the control arm but is a tad more restrictive (quieter ). The N1 is too loud and had I known all this before I got my exhaust, I would have gone with the Dunk.

Yeah the World Sport looks more like a stock muffler. The Dunk is just a big fat can. It just looks sweet. When i decide to get off my lazy ass and go grab some batteries for the digital camera, than I'll post a pic of the universal Dunk I have on there now. I wish they werent cracking down so much around here on loud exhausts cause I'd like to hear mine without the factory resonator. But when you have a ton of people who might as well just have a pipe running from the header out the back of the car with no muffler, and when they have been driving for 5 minutes and you can still hear there exhaust clearly, I guess youve got to do something.
