rb20, rb25, rb26 QUESTIONS??
These are skyline engines arent they?
Whats the difference btwn these 3? Can one make more power than the other? Is the rb20 just as good as the rest? Im thinking about a swap into another car...i think the rb20 is cheaper, this is why i need to know. |

The RB20 is the cheapest but will cost a lot to reach the same power levels as the other two. It has limitation on the output and many parts have to be custom made.
RB25 is the middle child engine. Same bore as the RB26 but no where near as strong in either the block or the support craddle and the crank shaft. It is also higher compression than the other two standard. Also has limited potential which is less than the RB26 RB26 is the top of the line full stop. Most expensive to work on, repair and build up overall in parts. Parts are available over the counter but at premiums, which is the same for the RB25.
