Re: please help me to choose my first model!

IF you like it, get it.

This kit is well made, it does have an engin so that mean extra work for you, but as I said before, if you take your time, any Tamiya Kit is easy !

btw, burago have nothing to do with those kind of model. burago are plainly toys that my 6 years old cousin can make.

Re: please help me to choose my first model!

as long as you take your time it won't be hard to build, you will need an x-acto knife, model glue, and various color paints as well as brushes and paint thinner or cleaner. Spray paint is suggested for the body, and depending on how much work you want to do sandpaper will help.

why not build the engine, just read the directions step by step and it will go together well

go out and get a good Xacto knife set (the one thats comes with several blades), and a par of snips, they make it alot easier to remove the part from the tree's. if you take you time and have some patience it should finish pretty good, I havent built a Tamiya Supra but i've heard the kit is fantastic

BTW, depending upon where you live, HLJ sucks, I tried to order something from them and it was twice the amount of the kit for shipping, I found it to be alot cheaper to go down to you local Hobby store and order a kit from them. . which is what I do when I wanna kit the hobby store does'nt have.

Snips = Wire Cutters

Also depending where you live, check out Wal-Mart for hobby knives, and other modeling goods.

This is what Someone serious would need:

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAM87031
http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAM87067
http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAM74001
http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAM74040
http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?TAM87062

Add to this Sandpaper (get some at your local store, tamiya one is too expensive)
you can get other brand if you want

You will need about 6 to 10 bottle of paint to start. Also a spray can and a Primer is highly recommended
