Angry 89 fuel Pump??

Hey all,
What a wonderful site this is. I have read whatever I could on the problem I am having with my 'baby'. She's a 5.0 4x4 F150. The problem started two weeks ago. Out of no where she died a block away from home. I have always had a problem with my fuel relay boxes. So first things first I bought news ones and replaced the wiring harness as well. I changed the fuel pump three times (I also had all three pumps checked and they are all working fine) with no luck. I tested the wires and have power but the pump won't kick on. I should mention that my truck had two fuels tanks, but the front one was removed before I took ownership over from my dad. The truck was also fuel injected but my dad made a project out of my truck and she now has a carb. She's been running good for a year and half(since I have owned her) and now i'm Found On Road Dead. I maintain her better then I do myself, where am I going wrong?
