head gasket

I've got a 92 integra and I'm about to change my head gasket for the first time. Any suggestions or useful tips to make it easier? Thanks!

Re: head gasket

Make sure you re-torque your headbolts to the suggested spesifications, along with making sure you put your cams and timing belt in right. There is more to it, Thats just the obvious stuff.

Go here and download the manual. Click on the link at the top that says icelord.net. Make sure you loosen the head bolts in the right order and make sure you re-torque them in the right order as well. Basically do everything word for word that the manual tells you to do. DO NOT take any short cuts!

Ya re-torquing your bolts right is important. When I got my car, someone had recently replaced the head and they didn't torque them to the right setting, and I ended up cracking the headgasket. And do make sure you do your water pump and timing belt at the same time. It will save you alot of work later
