Re: New Struts! need help

please help me. I don't know what kind of struts are best. I don't want to lower my car. and is there a website from where i can download the repair manual for a 1991 accord for free? the different kind of struts listed on ebay include Tokico HP, MacPhearson, KYB AGX and KYB GR-2. which one would be the best among these. If u would suggest something else please let me know, thanx.

Re: New Struts! need help

How much do you want to spend? What will you use the struts for, just daily use, or auto-x, drag, etc. Do you just want something like what was previously on your car, or something performance, i guess is the real question?

well to be honest with u, i got my car checked at Firestone and one private workshop. The estimate given to me by Firestone was more than $850 for all the 4 struts and the estimate given by the private workshop was also around that range. Now i know that i can buy struts from Ebay for a lot less than even $500. IT's not like i don't wanna pay that much to get my car fixed, it's just that i don't wanna get ripped of when the same thing can be done for way less than what i am being asked for.

About the struts:
I use my car just to commute to school, work or to drive around just for fun. Basically for daily use. Before the struts went bad, the ride used to be really smooth, now it's really bumpy and I want the sort of struts that would make the ride real smooth, even if it's the sturts that are installed or if there is something nicer than i would prefer that. I hope i made enough sense this time. thanks for replying to the message. Oh and by the way i found a Service repair manual CD for the 1991 accord i have so i hope to find all the information regarding replacing the struts in there. IF not then i will bug u guys again .
