looking at a crx

im looking at cars and came across this.

1991 Honda CR-X Si, B16 motor from 00 Si, Si wheels from 99 Si, amber corners, projector headlights, Skunk2 catback, DC Sports header, real Type R shifer and knob, Eibach springs, Mugen valve cover, AEM cam gears, AEM V2 CAI, all VTEC hardware. Have all receipts for all aftermarket, also have all engine swap work. The engine had 27k on it when it was pulled from the Si, which had been totaled due to drivers side rear collision. The car itself had 78k on it at the time of the swap, and has about 86k on it now, so thats about 35k on the engine, I can get exact numbers if neccesary. I was thinking around $6000 but thats a little high, I'll try to get some pics taken or scanned. The body is all clean, except the hood which will be replaced before the sell. Let me know if interested.

what should i offer him?

Re: looking at a crx

I'd say no more than $4k... sure, both the engine and the chassis have low miles.... but these people need to be reasonable, that's alot of money for a 13 year old car..

I would say 3 to 4 grand, unless it has a turbo charger or supercharger, I wouldnt pay anything over 3500 for personally, you have to remember you never get out of a car what you put into it

I thought stock b16s were suppose to run mid to high 14, so i figured with those mods it would be hittin 13s.

Re: looking at a crx

no low 13s due to the "amber corners" and projecting headlights. More aerodynamic.

No but seriopusley with a little work and some $ low 13s wouldnt be to hard

Re: looking at a crx

personally as stated above that u cant get what u put into your car but i think that its better to get a car and build it yourself so you know how it runs plus you dont know whats been froced into the engine or how hard its been driven!
