Coolant Temp Sensor?

Are thier 2 Coolant Temp Sensors? and If So Which is the One that Controls the Guage in the car? and Where Is it located, i know about the one near the thermostate, is that the one? IN Dash Temp Gauge Doesnt Work. Would Buying another fix it, and why would the car not throw a code if the Guage isnt working?

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor?

I asked the same question a couple of days ago and I had no response. I suspect it's one sensor, and replacing the gauge cluster would fix it. Post here if it does, or if you find the answer, because my gauge is funky too. If it is the sensor that's faulty the fan wouldn't come on at the right temp. No idea about a check engine code. I think the sensor near the thermostat is the one that controls both the fan and the dash gauge.

Re: Coolant Temp Sensor?

There are two sensors, the one by the thermostat talks to the computer. The computer turns on the cooling fans. The guage sensor is on the rear corner of the rear head, under the EGR valve
