Care to elaborate?

BTW: one of my friends had the same problem with it popping out of gear, it was a bent shift fork.

probably the same problem here. can you rev match and get 5th gear to engage? if so you could have a bad synchro

When I said it was the tranny, that's what my neighbor who's the civic guy said. He's not around today so I can't have him elaborate. He is somewhat knowledgable on this since he's had several civics and he's just replaced a clutch in one.

I have a '91 nissan stanza for a commuter car that has a tranny leak that I need some help on. I've posted on the staza page with, but not much activity there.I've got a auto-tranny leak that happened all of a sudden, no warning. I've found the exact spot where the leak is but I'm not sure what is involved in the fix. I have a Chilton manual, but it doesn't tell me what the part is. It is a round cylinder shape facing the radiator right in between where the cooling lines come out the bottom and a pan that is at the top. 1st - what the heck is that, and 2nd does it come out some how?

**Click on gallery to see a picture of the part I'm talking about.

well i dunno what it is sometimes it won't even go into 5th and when i do get it in its barely in so then it pops out after i let off gas too oh and like lets say its at a low rpm like 2k and i floor it in 5th and 4th sometimes 3rd it slips and just revs up thats why i think its the clutch and not my tranny
