Power steering problem 99 Silverado

This just started happening this weekend..my 99 Silverado is hard to turn to the right, yet turns normally whjen turning to the left.It almost acts like someone was holding onto the wheel and not allowing you to turn the wheel to the right. I added a pint or so of power steering fluid but it didnt change anything. No obstructions that i see underneath.Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Power steering problem 99 Silverado

I have the same problem, except its hard to turn both ways. And the wheel trys to turn left all the time, and the alignment shop says its my steering box, not the alignment. Anybody heard of steering box problems/fixes?

you WILL end up putting a new steering box in. 98's and 99's are known for it
