How do i make my car louder?

Sup peeps!? I drive a 2001 Honda Civic Ex and I wanted to kno what is the best way to make my car louder??? I put on a Hayame XT1 muffler and it was louder than stock, but still quiet as heo. Wut do all of you recommend me to do??? Thanx alot.

Intake or replace your cat with a straight pipe. Loud, slow cars are NOT

you want to make it really loud? Get rid of the exhaust all together.

errr, maybe not the best way to go, but it's definitely LOUDER.

do you want your car to be loud or fast? and are you just looking at making it "louder" with exhaust? first off dont just get a muffler go for the whole cat back (you will be happier in the end) my bf just bought the greddy evo for his prelude it makes a nice deep growl

Be a shining example of the import community, remove the muffler, resonator and replace them with a straight pipe, then gut the cat, get a 5" brospeed tip, then get an intake but put no filter on it and then get a 4-1 header system.

You might wanna throw in the E-Blow off valve with it.

you want loud? drive it into a fuel dump. that explosion should be pretty loud for the split second you'll hear it before your flesh is burned off.

get a life dude, if all your concerned with is making your car loud then your in the wrong place. go to sound domain and buy some stereo stuff and leave this place be.

Yeah... try the intake first... even a cheap 60 dollar short ram should help make it louder. You do know that if your vehicle is too loud you could get ticketed right? But whatever... try the intake.

Being loud and being fast/more power are totally different animals you know. If you want just loud annoying car then just take off the exhaust system, but we are not responsible for your getting into trouble with the law.

If you want performance I'm pretty sure some of us are more helpful than others. A catback exhaust, headers, and intake will give your car more umph and power, while still keeping the noise at a comfortable level.

There isnt really a need to spend so much money to make your 2001 civic louder. Simply, just remove your exhaust system and air filter, that's about as loud as you get for a few bucks. Have you perhaps considered installing some speakers (perhaps a whoofer) on the outside of your car? that's gona make you car even louder when your radio is on.

Nope... don't remove the air filter... unless you wanna ruin a brand new motor. I think you mean remove the resonator? But yeah... whatever... if you remove the whole air box and filter, you'll need a new intake.

....ok i have a question. my exhaust pipe is bent from an accident (some one rearended my car) the only thing wrong is that when i make left turns or when i go up hills it makes a rubbing sound. my mechanic says its ok for now but i will have to eventually replace it. well the noise is annoying me alot and i was wondering does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost for me to replace the bent portion with a straight pipe (and remove the resonator) or should i just wait and get a cat back? (which might not be for a long while i have other plans)
