Holy S**** I didn't know that the NSX-T from Acura costs the Minimum of $140,000 Canadian! Without like CD Player etc.
Man that's alot of money.
I'm sure I'm not getting that car.

When NSX came out in 1991 it cost 80,000 CDN. However any mint condition 1991 NSX today are still selling for 45K CDN.

Yup.
U.S. and Canadian emissions are the same I think.
That is why you can drive your car pass the boarder to the states vice-versa.

They are pretty much the same since Canadian's was based off US standard. But Canada in general is more stricter and uniform than US. Since each state can have their own law regarding emission. California have one of USA's strictest emission control but not every state is like California.

Let me name an example. US allows Toyota to import MR2 Spyder however MR2 Spyder failed the Canadian emission control testing. Therefore Canadian government wouldn't allow it to be sold in Canada.

I know several folks who have brought Canada-spec cars into the US with minimal hassle. The reverse MAY not be true, as the Canadian-spec cars have additional equipment, some of which may not be as simple to retrofit. The list includes:
- metric stuff -- speedo and odo in kph and km, A/C reading in Celsius
- daytime running lamps (install in front clip)
- headlight washers
- others ??

And for the good folks up north, the optional "engine heater plug" is probably a good option . In Chicago, we're often reminded of how cold it can really get north of the puddle. :flash:

Most car come with MPH and KM tach.

But if you buy the MRS Spyder in US you can still drive it across the boarder to Canada right?

Oh and yes heaters in cars are recommended if you live in US and wish to come to Canada in winter.

They get a little pickier once you try to REGISTER it -- not sure if the Quebec folks play it even tighter

Oh you are refering to NSX? I thought you were talking about the general difference between Canadian and American cars.

Of course you can drive it over the boader. There is nothing illegal about that unless you planned to stay in Canada.
