Hood allignment

Heres one for you guys. I have an 82 Z28. It had the fiberglass hood with the induction (fake) on it. It was starting to crack so I took the hood off of the 88 which is stock. Now my problem is getting it realligned, the hood is right up rubbing the driver side fender and seems to be about half an inch or so off of the passenger side fender. The old hood fit fine and sitts on the 88 just fine, so I cant figure out what I did wrong. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Hood allignment

It just takes some patients and a buddy. Just loosen the bolts and and move it around. There should be some play side to side as well as front to back. The easiest way is to loosen them bolts just enough to move the hood around, shut it to just before it latches, get it into position and carefully raise it up and tighten them bolts.
