How many horses can i get out of my Engine

I have a 1.6L non VTECH and its all stock. Does anyone know how many horses im able to get out of it and what all do i need to do to it?

You can get from 100-500 horsepower on you engine. You just need one thing...MONEY. To get to 300 hp you virtually have to change almost everypart and do tonz of shit...but with money everything is doable.

i have a 93 civic with a crappy 1.6L i dont really no if it is a vtech or not it dont say it on the block but i have rod in a civic with a vtech in it and i can hear it kick in and i hear the same thing in my car but how can u tell if it is a vtech or not cause i heard that just because it dont say it the block dont mean it is not a vtech

I believe that with a vtec sohc head, the spark plugs are lined up at the rear and the non-vtec are lined up in the front. If i'm wrong someone please correct me.

for the money your gonna spend to get the #'s that you want ... just do an engine swap , you'll be much happier ...

first of all having a telephone for an engine could be your first problom...because VTECH makes phones
and no you dont have a Vtec the other guys are correct.
honestly man if you want it to sound good just throw some kind of an intake on there like a short ram of some sort because it wont matter..but if you are serious about gettin this civy down the road then a swap is a must even if its to a SOHC d16 vtec at least, its just that motor will take so much money to get it to run that its not worth it in the long run..i mean you could build it and throw some boost thru it, but you will always be limited to what you started as the doner motor.... but thats just my common sence opinion .... the final choice is up to you

oh yeah and to answer the original question so my buddy "jcrx" doesnt jump ..is that how much power available from your engine is dependant on how much MONEY and TIME you are willing to invest ...but like i said, you will always be limited with that engine

There is no 93 non vtec 1.6 motor,

D15B7 from the DX/LX
D15B8 from the CX
D15Z1 from the VX

all 1.5 non vtec

D16Z6 from the Si/EX

only 1.6 from 92-95 and it's a vtec.
