96 Civic EX M/T PROBLEM!!! HELP!!!

Hello.

I have a 96 EX Civic with a M/T. The car has about 91K and has not been raced, abused, etc... Today as i was backing out of the parking lot and putting the car into first gear something bad happened. The car will not go into any gear now and when I try to put it in gear and release the clutch there is a rhythmic thumping sound (difficult to hear, but its there) but no power to wheels. Car idles normally and clutch pedal does not feel any different then before. Still returns to to position, etc. Any idea what the heck is wrong with my car? Thanks!
