A real Accord Type-R

Now that is damn cool.

Does anyone know if there is a US equivalent for that body style? It almost looks kind of like the Acura TL or CL but not quite.

Re: A real Accord Type-R

Looks pretty nice, but his specs are pretty low, 7.9 0-60 and 16s quarter mile, although 16s is too broad it is still pretty bad if he is at sea level.

Re: A real Accord Type-R

Well, it appears he's running a stock, un-tuned H22 =P All he's done to it is the sound system I believe. Plus, he may suck at racing...

Re: A real Accord Type-R

I thought the Type-R F20Bs had blue valve covers?
I believe the CH1 (1999 up) Accord Type-R uses an H22A:

We need someone in Germany to get us more info on these things =P I'm finding it too difficult to get authentic Euro parts without turning up hundreds of "altezza" lights or similar junk.

ive seen those pics before and i did some research. I found out, im probably sure all u guys out there kno, that the american version of the euro type r in america, is the acura tsx. I remember readin an article that acura was the one that bought the blueprints from the euro's and i guess (and quote me if im wrong) the tsx is modeled after the euro type r.

The Acura TSX is very similar (near copy) of the Accord Euro-R, but there's one problem, the Acura TSX didn't exist until this year, and that Type-R is a 2001.

There's actually a difference between the Euro-R and the Type-R (even the European version). In fact, I believe the Euro-R (despite its name) is a Japanese model and doesn't actually exist in Europe (atleast under that name).

To my knowledge, the Accord has come in three different "performance" types: the SiR, the Euro-R, and the Type-R.

The one in my link is a 2001 Type-R, or is supposedly at least. Finding information on these models is kind of difficult since they only exist in mostly non-English speaking countries. I found one german/english site that has some good info about which cars have which engines, etc.

Here's a Type-R, probably same year or generation:

The AWD Accord: "Torno Euro-R"

I had some more pics, but again, they're pretty difficult to find.

Re: A real Accord Type-R

This is weird. It's an Accord Euro-R but it was sold in Japan as the Ascot Innova. Looks like the rear end of a Civic mixed with the front of either a Prelude or an Integra.
