lights flickering

its my 1988 2.8l when my car is running, my outside lights as well as my dash lights- well lets just say every light in the cars flickers, its a constant flicker and it more or less drives me nuts, but i noticed that you can see it when its dark out in my headlights, im figuring its some short in a wire, but have no idea where to look, or what to look for, any ideas would be great

do you think that i could do a digital read out to see what it says, i was thinking a short in a wire but now im not too sure cause it would only do it to one or two lights not every light in the car, right??????????

I would replace the headlight switch itself. They tend to get worn out and loose contact inside.

for sure i would check charging system,regolator is going out

trust me check your charging system

After hearing that you had trouble starting...
He's probably right.

Start it and disconnect the battery. If it dies, the alternater is bad.
