What extra insurance do have to prevent ,or atleast make it more difficult, to rip out your stereo?

My stereo has been stollen twice within the last 5 months. The first time it was stolen was Jan 1st ,and the second time was Friday night. On Friday night my car was in the parking lot of my job;it is a very big lot. I was inside for 7 hrs, so they had the time. My stereo was all screwed and bolted in too.
"How 'bout an alarm dumbass". Well I had one but they took care of that. And I know if someone wants to get in your car, they will.
My GFs dad said a cop told him to stuff the wiring up behind the HU with fish hooks. I am thinking of just getting a tape deck or chaining the HU to the car next time.

I have a couple of things.First I have a sticker on bothe of my passenger windows.You know "Steal the radio,it wont work anymore".

Then,when installing the head unit,there are some security ties that go connected into the stereo itself,then are bolted to a part inside the dash.They looked like they were made of some kind of metal.The guy said that they are supposed to delay the thief if he ever got interested.Looks like they work,I tried to yank mine,but that damn thing wouldnt budge.He also said that the only way to remove it,was to remove the dash itself.

Also,you cant go wrong with a simple alarm.And people,dont forget to lock your doors,I cant count the number of times ive been in a parking lot just to find the car next to me has all the doors AND windows open.

Aboce is true, but here is another thing, don't make it obvious you have a system. Most systems stolen aren't just at will, they are cause of flashy setups, stickers on the outside and other things to make them show. another good idea is don't blast your music so dang loud when you are close to where you are parking. Park in smart areas. get tinting done. umm there is a lot more. One that really helps is a viper high quality alarm. And if that doesn't work, you obviously have someone who has been stealing from your car habitually. You need to get your car dusted etc to see if the cops find who it is.

One more thing.There is an alarm for stereos.Im not sure if its on the market already.Its supposed to be trackable if ever stolen.Anybody know what I mean? Or have any other info?

Turn it down when you get around places that you park often (work, home, etc), get your windows tinted, remove your faceplate every time you leave the car for extended periods of time (not for a 5min grocery stop, but at work or home).
