Re: Piggy Scaners

I remember reading somewhere that jammers don't work. But I think it was just the ones by one company. There was a thread on radars search for that

Re: Piggy Scaners

I have a police scanner and radar detector, the scanner is all right if you know all the codes they use...takes some time to get use to...the radar detector works extremely well, on the interstate i was 25 over and it started to beep a mile and half later a cop was sittin on the side waitin, but of course by that time i was traveling at the speed limit. It is a beltronics 985, get it off ebay for pretty cheap.

Re: Piggy Scaners

lol for interstate stuff dont laugh but i would recommend a plain old CB radio keep it turned down and listen for the truckers to warn about a cop on whatever road your on. most of the cops around here just hang out on the residental <35 zones so i dont bother. but yea get a CB and let the people who drive for a living buy a new scanner every couple months

Re: Piggy Scaners

I use a cobra CB while on the interstate and a Cobra radar detector all the time. To be honest though, the only thing that will keep you out of trouble all the time is covering your car in carbon fiber lol. CF absorbs radar rather than reflecting it.

Re: Piggy Scaners

interesting i was wondering y they dont make full carbon fiber bodies, maybe theyre illegal. does it still work if its painted or only if its bare?

Re: Piggy Scaners

Its the metal that reflects the radar. So painting does not matter. Carbon fiber acts as RAM Radar abosorbing material. Like stealth fighters.

Re: Piggy Scaners
