Loss of power-95 T/A

Having problems with my 1995 Trans Am, all stock 5.7L

After driving for about a mile the acceleration starts to dimminish.
Notice a significant loss of power when trying to acccelerate. The longer you drive the worse the acceleration is. Mostly above 1500 rpm. There is no check engine light.

Started approximately two weeks ago and its getting worse. Changed the ignition modular and throttle position sensor and no help.

Any suggestions.

M6? If so, I'd have your tranny looked at. I experience something similar when my clutch was worn, just wouldn't grab, but I don't know why you'd see your acceleration dimminish in a single drive...

Loss of power-95 T/A

Hey there,
I had exactly the same problem on my 87' t/a. i checked quite a few things before finding out what the problem was.... it was the spark plugs.... even though they looked in good cond. i put a new set of platinum plugs in and it went back to normal... just my 2 cents.....

Is the engine running a little hotter than normal when it begins to happen? Maybe a clogged cat\cats?

Re: Loss of power-95 T/A

If it was a electrical misfire....it should throw a code
or even a pluged cat.....
Does it have O2's before and after the CATS ?
I believe a 95 is a OBD I....???
