exhaust

I'm looking for a reall good exhaust and I'm thinking about buying the Apexi GT Spec Exhaust. It's about 500 at a dealer by me. Is that the best I can get for that price range for my 1991 240sx. What kind of hp gains would that exhaust give me?

Re: exhaust

The GT spec has 3.74 inch piping. That's huge. If you're not turbo, which I'm assuming you're not, then that exhaust is going to be almost unbearably loud. You'll probably be racking up tickets for it pretty fast also since it would be so loud.

IMO, if you're n/a, go for something smaller like a 60mm-70mm

well i would like to do the sr swap maybe by the end of the summer which has a turbo. they ssell a silnecer with it, it says it lowers it by 7 db. Would it still be worth it? Do you know any other good exhaust systems besides this one that are good.

go with a 3" exhaust. even for N/a.

the GT Spec is only really for someone running a big turbo at that. 3" exhaust such as a N1 etc.. will make more power on a N/a motor then the exhausts made for a N/a engine, this has been dyno proven on the KA24de. Plus if its too loud for your liking add the silencer and loose 2rwhp peak, which will still result in more HP then u would gain with a 60mm catback.

I would say go with the Apexi n1 Duals, or a JIC or HKS system
