Unhappy 1988 female needs help

I have a 88 grand prix. have owned the car for 4 years. Has 140,000 original miles on it. have put in new engine and rebuild tranny, now has 50,000 miles. Driving down road and at 50 -55 mph car starts shaking, and does not want to accelerate. It will but I dont want to push it. I cant figure out what is wrong. I know alot about the car and have read the Haynes manual thru and thru cant figure out what to do. I was thinking I need new struts, and a new dog bone to stop the shaking, but cant figure out with the acceleration. I love my car and do not want to junk it, but I need the help. Also, my pully for the hood has snapped. The manual said to replace it, where do I get that kind of wiring. Also, my entire turn signal has broken, was told that I had to have dealer fix-is this true. Any info would be great thanks

Re: 1988 female needs help

check your lugs and torque, ball joints, tie rod ends, and check mainlyyour tires for busted belts and if thats all good maybe your half shafts.. you deffinatly want to get a balance if your tires are good... sounds to me like a really bad outter tie rod or bad tires, if they are new it maybe a defective tire,,, i work at pepboys i know what im talking about ive seen many

Re: 1988 female needs help

ok thanks for the info- also how much approx. for new struts all around, ball joint ect. the whole works? Also with the acceleration, I just drove the car for a bit, and found out its a loud noise like somethings loose and hitting against something else only when I accelerate, stops when I take foot of the gas? Have to do with tires ect.?????????
