Angry anybody got an answer to this one?

ok, vehicle is a non-turbo eclipse 93, car overheated on highway a few days ago. got it towed home and pulled the head off, found a pretty tore up head gasket, so i replaced that and put it back together, was running decently for about 50 miles, now car still has water/antifreeze in oil but only leaks water/antifreeze when temp guage is up. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: anybody got an answer to this one?

did you torque your head on right? three stages from the inside to the outside so that it doesnt warp, very important with an aluminum head (which all t/e/l have)

Did you plane the head? It would have been warped.

Re: anybody got an answer to this one?

I did torque the head correctly according to the chilton manual from the inside out, but did not heve the head planed, although it did look to be in good condition, since last post i traced a problem, one of the fans has gone out, so the radiator is only getting half cooling power, but that still dosent explain water in oil prob.

Re: anybody got an answer to this one?

How did you check the head to make sure it was "fine"?

Re: anybody got an answer to this one?

didnt say it was "fine", saud it looked to be in good condition because valves were not carbonized also head surface was clean, since then also the water in oil problem has been fixed by flushing alot of oil through engine, went to the junkyard yeasterday and bought some relays, which fixed the prob of bopth fans not turning on, but now neithe fan will turn on without relay being triggered so i am going to replace coolant temp sensor when i get a chance.
