when is the best time to buy a car
hey i was wondering whens the best time to buy a car? people have said the winter because auto sales are freakin low that time of year except i plan to buy a car for around 1500 from some private party, most likely an 4th gen civic. also, do you think i can get better cars for the same amount?

I've always thought the best time to buy a car would be before Christmas, or just after. People are trying to get money for gifts before, and trying to settle credit card debt after. It's always worked for me anyway......

Keep an eye on finance company reposession tenders.It's surprising how cheap you can pick the cars up for[february is always good],but you need to know how to assess their true condition.

winter is by far the best time to buy a car from a dealer or private party... spring and summer is when everyone looks for a car, meaning more competition for you, meaning more people looking at the car, meaning the seller is less likely to go down on the price.
in the winter you may be the only person to call about the car in a month so sellers will usually be quick to sell for less because no one else is interested the best way to buy a car is to buy it in a state/area where the particular car is common because rare cars go up in price.

first its wabbit season, then duck season, then comes car season, so remeber, the day after duck season is car, then comes deer, then wabbit again.

Depends- buying privately (used) Christmas.
Buying new- Well it depends, usually just before a models facelift/spec reshuffling, or when the currency is rather strong
