So tired of trying to find problem

I have a 1986 Iroc, there was a 305 in it. I had a 350 put in to it and since that...when I first start the car I have all the power in the world, but after I drive for a moment especially if it is hot out side, the car drives like a neon, total loss of power. Also oil pressure drops to red zone. note: I have replaced the thermostat, radiator, water pump, spit fire plugs wires and rotor. please help me!

Re: So tired of trying to find problem

well if your fuel pressure drops check your fuel pump or oil pick up, to do that you have to pull the oil pan

Re: So tired of trying to find problem

I have found really low oil pressure to be common in all the camaro's Ive owned..
I think RidgeRunner may have been correct in his mistake.. Check your fuel pressure when the engine is hot.. Check your air filter.. It could be real dirty.. Paper filters tend to swell up in the heat..
Is it TPI? TBI? carb?

Re: So tired of trying to find problem

Yeah I know, but low oil pressure is common in these engines.. It may not be related to his problem..

oh not at all normal oil pressure is around 60. if its running low then the sensor may be bad (my 84 my buds 89, my new 97 and my dads 2000 camaros all run around 60 and the pressure changes between 40-60 depending on rpm and temp out side
