Re: Skyline gts-type m R33

you want an intercooler for your GTS eh?
may I ask why? Please tell me you didn't put a turbo on an RB20E engine. That SOHC pile of crap will blow up. I used to have one. :-) If I were you, I'd stop thinking about grills and bumpers and start thinking about an engine swap or a new car.
Not a bad 130HP family car though.

I was under the impression that a Type M R33 meant that it was a turbo.

"I was under the impression that a Type M R33 meant that it was a turbo." yeah I think the R32 m specs are the ones with the 2.0litre rb20E non turbo engine. the R33 type m is an RB25DET engine which is a turbo 2.5 litre.

If the Skyline he's talking about is an M-spec R33 then it's turbo (it will be an R33GTS25t). Some people refer to any Skyline that isn't a GTR as a GTS regardless of whether it's a GTS or GTS-t (or for the R33 a GTS25t).

Talking

that's a shame. I have owned a GTS and a GTS-t. I'd never call my GTS a GTS-t and I'd certainly NEVER call my GTS-t a damn GTS. :-P

Thanks for the info though :-) :-) :-) :-)

Re: Skyline gts-type m R33

I have a question to ask...

So if you only had a couple thousand owe say $7000 g's, would it be wiser to go with a R33 type-m skyline or type s r32 ... or should i just keep saving in hopes of owning a r33 type R>>??

Re: Skyline gts-type m R33

There is no such thing as a Type R Skyline.

To be honest, I've seen JAPANESE magazines occasionally casually refer to the Skyline GTR as a "Type R". For some model years, there were half a dozen Skyline GT's, but only one or two GT-R's. So when discussing Skylines, a Skyline GTR could be loosely referred to as a "Type R", and on that topic most people who AREN'T TOO OVERLY SENSITIVE THAT THEIR LEGENDARY GOD-CAR MIGHT GET DISRESPECTED would know exactly what was being discussed.

On topic, sadly, no, I don't know of anyone that stocks parts in America for a GTS.
