Re: Vtech head or.....

Go ls/vtec. Little faster than stock GSR. Also it is VTEC not V-tech. V-tech makes phones. You can find b16a heads, and b18c1 heads on ebay for around $450-$550. And if some of the places allow will even do the oil tap for you for an extra $100-$200. If you do do ls/vtec make sure who ever does the oil tap, knows what they are doing so you don't get oil leeks. It has to be done right. The reason I say go ls/vtec is it is alot cheaper than getting a GSR motor. GSR motror will run you at least $3,000 just for the motor. If you shop right you should be able to find one for that price with a tranny. A b16a head or b18c1 head would be alot cheaper. Plus if you ever decide to go turbo, ls/vtec are bad ass turbo motors. They have vtec capabilities and low compression, not to mention that the ls tranny that you already have is good for turbo as well. Good luck. Let us know what you decide to do.

Re: Vtech head or.....

If you go LS/VTEC check out golden eagles LS/VTEC coversion kit, it comes with soome special made dowel pins that will allow you to use the vtec head without having to drill any of the holes out, it also comes with a oil tap that just screws on behind your oil filter and has a steel braided hose. Makes machine shop work unnecessary.

Well you mentioned money in your first post so that's an issue, so definately go with the vtec head over the whole motor. You'll get more bang for your buck.
