Looking for good 6.5's

i need a set of 6.5's, but i dont really want to pay $400 plus like ive seen in stores. anyone know some good ones? i value sound quality first, and crankability. i couldnt care less how they look. my range is up to about $300 or more depending how good they are. i have an Alpine amp that i will use for them that puts out roughly 90x2 @ 4ohm. maybe just go with type R??

Re: Looking for good 6.5's

CDT 6.5s will run you $40 for a pair of coaxs and 140-300 depending on which pair of 6.5s you want increasing in power as you go. The low end will outbeat the type R 6.5, and the low end is about 140

well i value your input but i have decided: here im currently using the lowest set of Boston 4" speakers and they easily outplay my friends Alpine, Pioneer, Eclipse, and Focal 6x9" speakers. IMO they are so much better. but everyone hears differently. to me, boston is the choice for the best sound. i just need more then what ive got.

Re: Looking for good 6.5's

Infinity Kappa 62.5i (75W RMS, 225W peak)
They'll run about $150 a pair - cheaper if you look hard
355 degree directionally adjustable tweeters; passive crossover included
I have 2 sets in my vehicle and they've been awesome

Re: Looking for good 6.5's

Screw Infinity

Look at the CDT HD, eDi 6.5, Boston Pro, Adire Koda 6.1, Diamond HEX, and ID Chameleons. Focal is nice, but they don't have anything in that price range so I would look at something else.
