P10 boot/fuel cap fix

Hi,

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but recently a little bit of plastic threaded onto the boot/fuel cap release cable broke. This meant that the lever by the driver's seat did nothing to open the boot or fuel cap cover. The only way to put petrol in was to open the boot (with the key) reach under the carpet and open the cap from the inside (difficult if the boot is full of stuff).

To replace this one little *?'*&%! bit of plastic would have meant taking most of the car apart (as far as I could tell) in order to thread a new one onto the cable, so I came up with a fix myself.

I used a U-shaped piece of aluminium, a Dremel multi and a bit of trial and error... to make a clip that now holds the two halves of the broken plastic bit together. If anyone else has this problem, let me know and I'll be glad to give further information...
