rams/tires
hey,
if i need to raise the car to drain fluids, how would u guys say is the best way to do it, jack, or ramps?? also, do you guys think its worth it to get a set of winter tires, i have low profile summer ones on now, and was looking into getting another set, what would be the smallest size i could fit? and are there any good wheel/tire sets to look for? |

o yea, i noticed in one of the pictures, one of you guys has a GTO badge, instead of the 3000GT...is there a way of getting one of those in like the midnight blue color, and if it is, is it easy to take the old one out, and install the new one. Or can you only get those in japan, or someplace else.

Re: rams/tires
Um ramps are so much easier then dealing with multiple jacks and jackstands and trying to get the car level...trust me I did it a few weeks ago. Somewhere on www.stealth316.com if you check out the links, he had a page where he showed his ramps and jackstand locations and such. If you are going to have it up for long periods of time you don't want to be using the side frills or whatever they are called to be jacking it up, but rather the lower control arms and frame. As far as snow tires, it couldn't hurt, my vr4 handles horribly in NY snow.

As far at tires and wheels, if you have a 1st gen vr4 you can fit the 16" base and sl rims on your car, if its 2nd gen the smallest you can fit are 17's. for the GTO badge most people take the 3000GT and just rarange it. If your first gen they are on ebay all the time.
