damn!!!!! my check engine light came on so i figure no big deal its just a sensor but to know what sensor it was or to make sure it was just a sensor i tooked my ZTT to my local nissan dealer. they charge me $80bucks to put my z on their machine and to do their 14point check, can't remember but anyways! yes, it was a sensor and it cost $108 but yall check this out them fools whanted $1100 plust taxes to do the job cause according to their mechanic it was gonna take him 10hrs to do the job! i started freaking out and said what to fuck do you have to do thats gonna take you 10hrs so the said well the sensor its located below the throatle body on the driver side and its a lot of work. i told the mechanic and his manager, i'm not paying $1100 i'm not a fool like most of this people so i order my part got drawings from nissan were the part its located so i can do it my self but just out of curiosity i call my performance shop ASAA racing and there like dude will do it for about $200buks. damn nissan wanted to really screw me! just imagine all those people that don't know shit about cars there getting screw.

Answer me this:

Your go to a doctor, wait for 45 minuets plus for him to look at you for 10min then charge you 100 bucks. But you wont go to a dealer where they know alot more then you (not saying your stupid but its there job to know everything about that certon car) and they charge you money to do a job which is most likely very complicated. You own a Z you should know there a pain to work on. Expecicaly TT's there even more complicated then a regular Z. The mechanic says its below the throatle body, have you ever looked where thats at? Its practicaly below the intake manafold below both intakes. And with nissan with all the dumb useless parts Im not surprized it would take 10 hours plus. Just because you had some bad vibes with a dealer once doesnt mean all dealers are bad. Sure there expensive but their trained to do a job and do it right. If you dont wana pay 108 bucks for a sensor go to a junk yard and take it outa a junker. Thats what I do, and costs under 10 bucks. All Im saying is everyone thinks dealers are bad but when your car breaks you dont wana play money to get it fixed. But your go to a doctor when your hurt and pay money. Techs are just like doctors, they specify in a feild and are suppousted to know everything about it.

I see your point or what your trying to say but if i want to go to the doctor i will sure use my insurance that covers me 90% i wish it was the same with my car!!!! but i just went to the dealer so they can put my car on their mechine so i could know why my check engine light came on thats when nissan told me that if i wanted to get it fixed with them it will cost me $1100. dealers do know what there doing and its worth it to take it over to them when your car is still under warranty besides if i can't do it my self i shop around or you get screw.
