How do I confirm my cars history

I have a 69 camaro, I've decoded the cow tag and confirm the basics. But I understand that means nothing. I would like to get specific information on my car and confirm the options were originally on the car. any help? thanks

Re: How do I confirm my cars history

You need to find the 'build sheet'. This is a piece of paper with a print out of all the options the car had and often gives you information on the specific springs, shocks etc that your car had. It needs to be decoded as well, as it's mostly numbers and letters. Its usually tucked into the seat springs in the back seat. Remove the back seat cushion and look inside. Unless a previous owner has removed it, it should still be there.
Sometimes GM hid it elsewhere; on Corvettes, it was on top of the gas tank.
