Alpine HU blinking

anyone use alpine head units? if u guys do, i wuna know if u have a problem with the head unit blinking (similar to headlights blinking during high bass beats) but this seems to happen only on alpine head units, i turn the volume to 20 (out of 35 total) and the head unit starts to blink, im using pioneer front n back speakers both are 60rms, but my friend uses the same speakers, but on his pioneer, whats the problem? why is the head unit blinking, i would think the head unit should put out enough power even at 100% power, or is it just mines? well i just want to ask people with alpine head units, my head unit is a alpine 9807, im planning to get a speaker amp to solve the problem, but before that i want to know if anyone else has dealed with taht problem before (without using a speaker amp) thx

Re: Alpine HU blinking

Sounds like the power wire running the headunit is too small, and when it demands a lot of current there's a voltage drop in the wire, so the headunit receives a lower voltage and the lights dim. Just a guess

Re: Alpine HU blinking

Yeah, my headunit dims. Alpine. It is cause I don't have large enough power wire etc in the front of my car from alt etc. My lights dim though too. I will fix it one of these days.
