The GS-T undergoing surgery

On my stock T2Small turbo is shooting oil out the exhaust so i'm about to upgrade. I went ahead and ordered the Small 16g from Bushcur Racing for $465 and then the 2g install kit from Diamond Star Motorsports.com for $265. Very expensive but should be more than happy with the results. In a few weeks i'm order the injectors and pump to help it. What size injectors and pump should i go with and what else do i need, something to control the injectors.

Re: The GS-T undergoing surgery

Dude I looked all around and couldnt find any cheaper places, I wanted a brand new one from a respectible dealer and that is way cheaper than alot of places. http://www.diamondstarmotorsport.com/turboparts.shtml this is the install kit, half way down. Its a good one. http://www.buschurracing.com/cgi-bin...y.cgi?5X376545 this is the small 16g turbo. You let me know where I could have gotten these cheaper.

Re: The GS-T undergoing surgery

Have you ever looked on ebay? I've seen quite a few nice new turbos go for pretty cheap. Might take a while to find what your looking for but the price is worth it. Ebay is where I got my EL guages and OBX high flow cat for about half price.

Re: The GS-T undergoing surgery

agreed, ebay is just too risky...especially dealing with a turbo! I am looking at getting a Big 16G Turbo, I will probably need 650cc injectors, new fpr, fuel pump and some kind of fuel management system...am i correct? What is the best fuel management system to get...then soon after this i should probably get a dsmlink to start tuning it all up right? Or should i get the dsmlink first off and start tuning now?

Re: The GS-T undergoing surgery

DSMlink is fuel management. If you're going to ever get it, might as well get it now so you don't have to bother tuning with lesser equipment.

I don't get what you mean, but in order to tune your 16g you'll need SOMETHING, and DSMlink is the best. If you want to get it in the future, make it happen soon after you get the new turbo and fuel setup.

Re: The GS-T undergoing surgery

slowboyracing sells turbos on ebay. so, you can get an evo316g for 520 right now. and the 2g install kit is $179 @ forcedperformance.

install kit

http://linux.forcedperformance.net/m...Code=UNIV-GSFL

evo316g

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

thats $31 cheaper with a better turbo.

Re: The GS-T undergoing surgery

i mean more power to you if you want to pull off your 02 housing, and manifold to put on new gaskets, and use dejon tubes, that you'll replace when you buy a front mount intercooler. its not a bad package if you plan on porting your 02 and manifold before installing the 16g. it all depends on what you want to do.. its a nice kit..

why exactly do you think you have to port the manifold and O2 housing before you can run a 16g? not every setup with a larger turbo means you need to get the manifold and O2 housing ported... yes its a plus but not everyone gets boost creep if thats what you are refering to, plus there are ways to fix that without porting, its called turning up the boost!... and so what if he bought a 16g and not the Evo III, he has his opinions and you have yours... he wanted that one so he bought it, hes not spending your money is he, no... then dont bash him for it! not trying to be a dick but if you went out and bought the Evo III and i bashed you cause you spent $700 on a 16g when i can get a 20g for that would that be right?!?! so yes its fair to give your opinion but dont bash people while doing it!
