your 2.7L exhaust solutions, please

brothers: i'd like to increase the performance of my 2.7L taco. thinking about headers/cat back. please post your own solutions (specific make/model #s would be great) and your opinion of the performance gains.

i will post my opinion of my newly installed electric fan next. will include a slight variation of the deckplate mod there too.

thanks in advance for your help- bk

take off your manifolds and seal the exhaust ports with jb weld and when it dries poke 1mm holes in the jb weld. it will sound awesome and it will get better mileage

I have always had luck with K&N Drop in air filters. Although they are not an exhaust upgrade, they do make a difference. I've heard people having good luck with dual exhaust setups.

95 tacoma 2.7. LC engineering header(smog legal-mid to high range performance). elbow removed from airbox with amsoil filter. Jardine catback exhaust.(smog legal) Trd supercharger(smog legal at 4lb boost). Haven't dynoed yet for actual hp gains. Very quick. working out problems with piggyback computer.

Thumbs up 2.7L headers

I have 95 taco with Downey header, they are stainless steal and seem to be really nice. the header cam with the truck when i bought it, but it has all the correct parts (i.e. EGR valve). I passed smog with it and it runs great. It also has three inch exhaust which i am sure is over kill but it doesnt seem to have a negative effect. good luck!
