replacing pads 97 4runner question

i have replaced pads a couple of times on vehicles that don't have ABS.i need to replace the pads on a 97 4runner.
my questions are
1-is it o.k to disconnect the brake line from the caliper.
2-can you bleed the brakes the same as a non-abs system.
3-does anybody have the patience to give a quick tutorial on how to do this?
4-is there any place on the net that would show me how to do this?i will be getting a manual shortly.
thanks for any help in advance

Re: replacing pads 97 4runner question

1. Yes - it is ok to disconnect the brake line from the caliper. Bleed afterward.

2. Yes - bleeding is the same

3. - Replacing the pads should be done with a manual.

4. Wait for the manual. The devil is in the details. As soon as you have to replace an unexpected part, you will be outside the scope of a quick tutorial.
