Re: Racoons

Sometimes coyote urine or bobcat urine will deter them. You can buy it at most garden centers/home centers. It has to be reapplied throughout the season, however, and it's not always super effective. Also, raccoons dig for Japanese beetle and June beetle larvae in early spring and summer. Eliminating the larvae in your lawn with Grub-Ex or Milky Spore (biological insect control) will remedy the problem. Have-A-Heart makes humane raccoon traps for relocation, as well- but who wants to drive around with a caged raccoon?

Goes with the territory. Studied turfgrass maintenance as part of my major. Boring...but useful, sometimes. Actually, this was the only time...hm...I've wasted my life...

Re: Racoons

I'm out in the country, so, I shoot them for fun. And were allowed to do that during a certain time a year.
