Cool What springs will be best??? PLEASE!

I have a 90 crx SI currently with stock shocks and 18" wheels, 35 series tires. I bought some cheaper coilovers (BIG MISTAKE) and am now bouncing around like a hooker givin head. I am going to ditch the old coilovers and get some lowering springs with no more than 1.5 -2" drop to maintain camber. (H&R, Tein, Nuespeed, Eibach, etc) What springs are best suited for stock shocks (I know that upgraded shocks would help a lot but any suggestions would help)? Please Help. Thank You.

more please?

Thanks, and what makes h&r better than neuspeed? Will my stock shocks be too bouncy like before w/ cheap coilovers? Any answers would be appreciated. Thank You

Re: more please?

I would also recommend H&R - German made, can't beat the price, high quality. Your struts are probably worn out from the sleeves. During the spring install I would inspect the struts & be ready to replace all 4 with aftermarket parts.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I plan on getting some new struts in the future(however it may be sooner than later). Will my ride be somewhat less bouncy until I get some kyb' or konis? thanks

I just put H&Rs into my Accord and I would definitely recommend them. The ride is not stock at all, but it is much better than other cars I've ridden in that had the cheap coilovers. Your struts are probably worn out pretty bad now though so that will contribute to bouncy-ness. I plan to replace mine eventually, but I'd rather not disassemble all my struts after just finishing them! =P

As far as why H&R is better... they're cheaper than a lot of other springs, and a lot of people have them and can tell you that they are good quality. Check out www.carreview.com for reviews of Eibach Pro Kit... a lot of them aren't very good reviews. I read a lot of reviews from various sites on H&Rs and I heard a LOT of good things, so that's why I chose to go with them. Oh, and my car looks fucking PIMP now too =P

Edit: The H&R Sport Springs have got 4.59 out of 5 stars by 39 reviews. That's pretty damn good.

I'm sure irrelivant to the answer being looked for, but I'd highly recommend TRUE full coilovers above all. Tein Basics can be had for $650 shipped!

The differance between say Neuspeed Sport springs and H&R's is really just personal preferance. I think both lower about the same amount, but one will feel slightly differant then the other. Sorta hard to explain.

Re: What springs will be best??? PLEASE!

Check the nuts on the top of your struts first, if they seem to be rusted and shitty looking, then they could be seized on there. Getting full true coilovers will save you a lot of trouble during the installation, and considering the price of both springs ($150-200) and struts ($250-400) it is almost more worth it to go with coilovers.

The lower bolts are more likely to be seized/frozen
