Nice detail in the cockpit. The body color match perfectly to the real car. Did you mix it yourself??

Hi Nismo,

No i was lucky to find this color on spray in the Marabu Do It Blue Pastel Spray.

These spray are hard to use , the flow is fast, but it's the exact match .

I can recommend it to everyone searching the Gulf Color, i'll use it on my next 917k N°20 Inspired from the 'Le Mans' movie.

Love it man. Is that the version with the Cartograf decals? If not be careful with the translucent white of the number roundels, double it up with some white decal. But you probably know about that from your Salzburg 917K.
How did you do the seat rivets?

Looks awsome! I haven't touched mine because of the color problem. I saw this car in person when I was a kid. It was on display at Watkins Glen at the 6hr race a month after it had won at Lemans. The Ford GT is the car that got me hooked on Sports/racecars. OOPs I meant to say I saw the 69 car(number 6)

What is the problem with the colour 935K3? DO you mean sourcing an accurate shade of "Gulf Blue"?

Actually the '68 and '69 LM winning cars were the same chassis, P1075 IIRC. It was a blessed "lucky car" and won just about everything it entered!

Hi Phil,

I don't know if the decals are from cartograf but they seems really fragile and i'm not sure they can support MicroSet and MicroSol ... as the nose seems tricky i'm not very confident. I didn't have any white decals spare for the roundels i'll have to buy some.

For the seat rivets i use a toothpick cut, put some silver on it and take a lot of patience. It could be more regular but it's long long ...

Thanks for your advice Phil.

With all the paint brands I like to use none have the correct color. I will probably mix up Krylon White and True Blue to the correct shade and airbrush it, but I would rather not have to mix it.

Great Build, levincer, love the detail in the cockpit. Did you get the pe parts for the kit?

Amazing look, be careful with those decals, especially up front!
