internal rattle...
I was looking to buy a gsx and I found one for a good deal, the engine is totally rebuilt with forged pistons, fully coated and cryo-treated, prepped rods also treated and the balance shaft removed. He said that
the rebuilt engine has internal "rattle" and he has no time to go through motor again. Thus he is forced to sell. He said that the car was shut off as as soon as the sound was heard, so that no major damage would occure. He said it sounds as though the balance shaft has started making the sounds. What do you guys think about this? |

Re: internal rattle...
As a side note, I was wondering how loud a 4G63 will sound with the balance shaft removed? could this be the noise it is making?

Re: Re: internal rattle...
all the stuff i have read about removing the balance shafts say that there is increased noise from the engine.

Re: internal rattle...
I have read the same things also, but would it make loud noises from inside the engine?
