Custom 1994 RX7 FD3S R1 completed

Even tho i'm new on here, i've been building / painting models+diecasts for a long time. I finally finished up this FD3S I have been working on.

The inspiration for it was the Sponsored Meguiars Dupont Chromallusion FD, which I cant seem to find a picture of right now. If any of you have it, please post a link or just post the picture URL.

Thanks, and enjoy the pics:

Well it's nice except one thing.. That's not a import racer car. I've seen it at the dollar store for 5 buck's...

Re: Custom 1994 RX7 FD3S R1 completed

Did you change the bumper? The big signal lights in the bumper suggest it more to be a late model RX7 or even a Spirit R. Did you put any mods on the body? The rear spoiler is not the one on the R1, if I remember correctly.

Beside the engine bay looking alittle plain, that's a nice FD you got there. Why are you selling it?

Looks like a diecast to me.

I guess you repainted it.

I am a diecast at heart. I grew up on Hotwheels/Matchbox Corgi etc.

It is a DieCast RX7. It has the front lip, factory on the R1 package. I am unsure of the wing, it was on the car when I purchased it. I like it tho, so I kept it

Yes it is a diecast, resprayed after shaving down the hideous front tag bracket.

I just found this web message board, and figured i'd join to see what you all are doing. This RX7 is no where near the SAS things I have seen. I am taking the same 'base' model I used here and building a widebody next.

And no, it cost $14, not $5 Plus that paint isnt cheap!

It seems like most people here build Tamiya. I figured i'd show something a little different than the 'norm'.

Oh and yeah that RX7 is an 'import', i am also building some of the Jada "IMPORT RACER" series too.

I also picked up a Maisto to start some custom work on.

Not to knock but I consider this SPAM. It's not hard to put the pics here instead of linking to an eBay auction.

IIRC the diecast forum doesnt have a complete/work-in-progress section

Neither did this forum a year ago. They just post all of their stuff there. They dont need a special section for it.
