Tamyia Kits or other brands

i have a few question on some kits.

do tamiya race cars like TAMIYA 1/24 Castrol Toyota Tom's Supra GT have a motor? Heres A LINK
http://www.best1hobby.com/Merchant2/...de=racecar1-24

Or this evo rally car
http://www.best1hobby.com/Merchant2/...de=racecar1-24

I just want a good car detailed with a motor. i see alot of cars that have no motor really disapoints me! makes me want to only keep buying revell kits

or hasegawa?? do a majority of thier cars have motors? and is there a site that has more detail pictures, stead of just the box! i really want to order a new kit( i have money) and i dont want to get it and spend 30$ and be like o no motor dumb!

Re: Tamyia Kits or other brands

Yeah in general Tamiya's rally and touring car kits have no engines There are exceptions like the many DTM kits and older Peugeots and Audis.
All of their sportscars have engines though. Jag, Sauber, Merc, Nissan, Toyota, etc.
Personally I like curbside kits

Re: Tamyia Kits or other brands

If the kit has an engine there is often a pic of it on front of box in the corner. If not it will say something like 'full engine detail' - you won't notice that unless you look at the box close up.

No problem. The higher quality kits dont usually have engines. But always check before buying from Revell if there are any option parts, or if Tamiya or someone else makes the same model with an engine.

Re: Tamyia Kits or other brands

thanks guys, i am going to stick to revell monogram. there kits ahve pleased me, sorta upsets me paying 30$ for a curbside were no detail. my crx is curbside and has about 30 parts. seats, dahs some decals, body, widnows, wheels small suspension parts, it is ridiculous and the quality of revell is much better then my fujimi crx.

Re: Tamyia Kits or other brands

You paid $30 for 1000 yen ($9) kit? I feel sorry for you. You'd better change the place to buy kits.
