took down two firebirds at once

posting here because the street racing forum sucks!

one was white formula, the other was a black regular firebird. both pretty new.

white one got in front of me, the black one was behind me. they were both revving and going fast before the highway. im with derek and his friend, and we know we're going to take them down, and start yelling trash out the window at them at a light because they were being assholes.

light changed, he hopped on hiway and just stepped on it. im in first, go to second, climb 1/2 car length. we keep pulling, by the time i hit 3rd we are about 2 car lengths ahead of where we were, and then just start riding his ass. i had to step on the brakes because we were riding his ass and had no place to go.

about 1/2 mi down all three of us line up on the hiway, we all start revving and then go all at the same time from 3rd gear. i pulled on the black one about one car length from the start, shifted to 4th and i was gone. i started pulling on the white one once i hit 4th, and held for about 4 seconds and i was up about two car lengths.

what a great night. this was all with a turbo downpipe leak... getting it fixed first thing in the morning. i gotta try to beat my friends time of a 12.8@115 (stock boost), he has same mods i do.

you really need to get some better tires, wider wheels, and a LSD next... it will get a lot faster with that stuff in the 1/4...great paint job BTW, much better then orange lol

hey guys, thanks for the comments.

yea im selling my uninstalled injectors and getting an lsd. tires will most likely wait until june/july because i want to put 305's or bigger on the back on some really wide rims, and that will set me back some major dough.

boost controller and safc coming this week....

paint isn't done yet, thats primer!! i had many good comments about it, i just might keep the primer on for this year and save for that paint. flat black hot rod primer, gotta love it, hehe. $4/can. that sil front end hasta come soon, jgycustoms is taking forever to ship it.

lmao primer is great paint, plus its cheap to do repairs and add body pieces, get a new wing? F prepping it and sending it to a body shop, just sand and prime! lol

Bah! They probably they stopped racing and fell behind to check out those hot tail lights. Thats what I would have done. =D

And 12.8? God damn thats fast.. What kind of 1/4 mile time does your 240 get right now?
