Easiest tranny swap
Ok so my tranny is grinding a bunch, and I'd like to get it replaced. However I figure if I'm going to put a new(used but new to me is good too, cheaper) one in then i'm gonna switch to a 5 speed. What should I look for to make the easiest swap from a factory 91 civic hb? Any particular car have the parts that would just transfer straight over with little to no additional parts and zero fabrications? Thanks in advance, I'd really like to get that done before the may meet.

Re: Easiest tranny swap
Any 89-91 manual tranny should just bolt up just fine - the clutch will also work too - won't have to change shiftlinkage, or axles. Just don't get a 88 tranny, you have to change clutch stuff - it's a pain (I Know - made that mistake already).
