I just changed my oil in my 2004 Silverado for the first time, to Mobil1 5w-30. I have noticed that the oil pressure now seems to stay around 40-60 psi and jump up to around 70 when accelerating hard is this normal?

Re: Oil Pressure
Which engine do you have? I have the 8.1 and recently changed my oil for the first time and put in 10W-30 Valvoline. My pressure runs at around 45 at crusing speed and drops to around 25 at idle. I don't know if this is normal or not.
